Pebble stone is a small type of stone with rounded lines that have been naturally tumbled and have lost their sharpness as a result of water erosion in sea shores and streams. Pebbles are stone particles of various sizes that have accumulated along the lengths of streams, sea and lake shores. Structurally, it is a harder stone than limestone and the coefficient of being affected by acids is quite low.
The reason why the pebbles in stream lengths are round is that they are constantly rolling along the stream. The pebbles on the seaside are flat because they are eroded by the waves with horizontal strokes.
The pebbles are evaluated as 2–70 mm in diameter according to the degree of coarseness. Pieces of stone larger than 2 mm in diameter are called gravel. The larger pebbles are called rubble, and the smaller ones are called fiski.
The construction industry, landscape and interior architecture are also frequently seen as usage areas.
